Formal and informal letter example

What is formal or informal invitation letter?

There are two kinds of notes of invitation formal and informal. Formal invitations are written in the third person and do not contain the heading, the salutation and the subscription. The writer’s name appears in the body of the invitation. His address and the date are written on the left hand side below the body of the invitation. The reply to a formal invitation is also written in a formal way in the third person. But informal invitations are written like other personal letters.
